Rock Band at Michael JacksonTRIAL in DIAPERS!
[Santa Maria, CA] At approximately 2:30
pm Wednesday, March 30th, The Jason Eaves Band attempted to perform live outside of the Santa Maria Courthouse with lead man
Jason Eaves dressed like Michael Jackson and bandmates Jeff Jones and Kenny Foster wearing DIAPERS!
The
3-piece Iowa based rock band spent over 55 hours on the road due to mechanical problems with their 1985 Ford van before finally
arriving in Santa Maria, CA at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. With Eaves, Jones, and Foster dressed in their hilarious attention
getting attire, the group began to perform. Unfortunately they could only get off a couple of notes before getting stopped
by the Santa Maria police, After getting warned, Eaves still managed to get the crowd going by yelling over his microphone
to screaming Jackson fans which then landed him a citation.
Though "The Jason Eaves Band" has only been
together for 6 short months, they are becoming quite well known for pulling off outrageous publicity stunts such as holding
the world record for the "Worlds Fastest Rock & Roll Tour", "crashing the American Idol auditions" in San Francisco, and
performing uninvitedly at the Country Music Awards in Nashville. The group has had a few "run-in's" with the law, says Eaves,
but "it's worth it."
